The 250W mid motor integrates with bikes that have a BB (bottom bracket) of 68mm ~ 73mm.
The Inner diameter of the bottom bracket should be 33.5mm.
Most Bikes in South Africa meet these standards.
However it is important that you check yours first to make sure.

Frame considerations
The ideal fitting position for the battery is on the Down tube As Illustrated here on your right.
If the space is too small,other options are available as illustrated below.
CHOOSE a BATTERY THAT SUITS YOUR DESIRED RANGE.
DOLPHIN , WHALE and killer whale.
If you desire longer range batteries and there is space on your DT (Down-tube*) then these are the battery designs to look at.
DOLPHIN : 48v 13aH AV. 70KM.
WHALE: 48V 17.5AH AV. 100KM.
KILLER WHALE: 48V 20AH AV. 120KM
Downtube * speaks to the cross bar that usually. holds you waterbottle holder.

RHINO.
In some cases installing a Downtube battery is not possible due to the size or design of the frame.
Or you may just prefer the idea of having a rear carrier battery.
Extra carrying space convenience is apparent with the alloy light weight carrier that is included.
SEAL.
Seal is a Unique design water bottle battery fits on your bikes frame down-tube.
Be sure to measure your frame to see if it will fit.
And think about the ideal range you want.

LITHIUM BATTERY CHARGER.
48~54v 3a
Battery chargers start at 2A and go up to 5A.
The higher the Amps (A) the faster the charging.
However using a 5A Charger can also cause damage to cells.
We have tested and found that 3A offers the best steady charge whilst preventing the damage to lithium cells.
PEDAL ASSIST
For some people retaining a steady heart rate level is detrimentally important to their health during exercise.
The 500w Mid drive conversion is fitted with a 9 levels of Electric pedal assist (PAS) .
PAS helps you maintain a steady level of power no matter how steep the gradient becomes.
PAS is controlled via a plus + ( for more power assistance ) minus - ( for less power assistance) .
This button is controlled on your handlebar. Simply increase and decrease the level of power you need while riding.
Increasing PAS not only helps you up steep hills , it also alleviates pressure on your knees , hips or shoulders which prevents injury and allows you to ride and exercise longer than you would normally be able to.
THROTTLE
In addition to PAS (9 levels of pedal /power assist) we also install a safety thumb throttle. When the throttle is engaged it over-rides the PAS. This is particularly helpful when wanting immediate forward momentum.
For example : From a stationary position on a steep hill or stop street or in an emergency situation where for whatever reason you need instant power without the need for turning pedals.
Having an emergency throttle is super helpful and gives you peace of mind even though you wont need to use it most of the time.
lcd display.
A colour LCD display is installed on your handlebars.
Here you manage the level of power assistance (PAS) , view speed, check battery level (and get an estimate on range you still have ) , get the time and charge your cell phone or other device.

CONNECTING THE PARTS.
There is only one cables that connects everything together in your in your 250w OR 750W Mid drive conversion kit.
The EB bus cable.
Waterproof connectors and very easy to put together plug-and-play system.
spacers : chain alignment.
When fitting your mid drive , you may find that an adjustment may be required to install one or more spacers to the motor BB.
This is to perfect the chain alignment between your rear gear cassette and front cog.
Dont worry we got you covered! We produce alloy spacers in 3 sizes : 2mm ; 5mm and 10mm.
CHECK YOUR MECHANICAL COMPONENTS.
Safety comes first.
Check all main Mechanical parts to ensure they work optimally to ensure seamless with motor integration prior to starting.
Brakes.
Jockey ( Rear derailleur ).
Chain , front chain wheel and derailleur and rear Cluster / Cassette.
Air shocks.
Rims, Spokes & Tyres.
brake levers.
If you have mechanical brakes then fitting these brake levers will be beneficial. If you hydraulic brakes , there is no need to install them.
For bikes with mechanical brakes these will help you to cut the motor power as soon as you brake.
After converting many hydraulic brake bikes to electric have found that due to the effectiveness of hydraulic brakes , it will not be necessary to change your braking system to mechanical and therefore it wont be necessary to use these.
gear sensor.
Gear sensor.
Gear sensors cut the motor power during gear changes. This helps to reduce wear and tear on the chain, derailleur and cassette.
These can be installed on Mechanical and Hydraulic brake bikes.
Hydraulic brake bikes require the extra “Y” splitter to fit the gear sensor.

Integrating LED lights into your Conversion kit is great for safety and convenience.
Front LED Lights are included in our conversion systems by default.
If you’d like to also include a rear LED light , that is an optional extra that you may choose when you place your order.
